Join SFNOMA on Friday, May 15, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, for an exclusive project tour led by Roberts-Obayashi Corp (RO). The project is Berkeley Unified School District (BUSD) Workforce Housing, a thoughtfully designed 110-unit affordable residential development supporting the Berkeley Unified School District community.
This project prioritizes housing for district employees and their families, offering a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedroom units. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore key features of the development, including a landscaped courtyard with a children’s play area, a community room, fitness center, secure bike storage, and a 55-space parking garage with EV-ready stalls.
This tour offers a closer look at how design can address workforce housing needs while fostering community, accessibility, and livability.
This tour will be led by:
Meagan Rice - Project Manager
Jason Olsen - Superintendent
Oscar Garcia - Assistant Superintendent
Because this tour is at a construction site, attendees are required to be in close-toed, hard-soled shoes and PPE (hard hats, and safety vests will be provided on site).
