Join us at OMCA for Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain, exploring Black Oakland’s displacement, resistance, and belonging.
To honor and uplift Black History Month - join us at OMCA on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Oakland Museum of California (1000 Oak St, Oakland, CA 94607). Let’s meet at 12:15 pm outside of the OMCA front entry for entrance to the museum at 12:30 pm.
Black Spaces: Reclaim & Remain, featuring a perspective from NOMA’s own June Grant, navigates the braided histories of displacement, resistance, and resilience within Black American communities in Oakland and the East Bay.
In response to this history, the exhibition presents three unique perspectives from an artist, @adrianlburrell , architect June Grant with @blinklabarchitecture ; and the Archive of Urban Futures with @moms4housing.
Ticket sales and event invite closes 02/17 end of day.
